 Buskopolis Festival of Cinematic Oddities

From the ethereal to the atrocious, the Buskopolis Festival of Cinematic Oddities explores some of the square pegs of movie history as well as the proud misfits of present-day filmdom. The festival will host a curated selection of feature films as well as screenings of juried international short films.

This year, the festival line up includes 37 short films representing 11 countries. Filmmakers from over 25 countries submitted their work. Some visiting filmmakers will be on hand to take part in Q&A after the screenings.

This year's feature films are:

  • Gates of Heaven (1978/83 minutes/documentary)
  • The Loved One (1965/121 minutes)
  • The Little Fugitive (1953/80 minutes) - all ages show
  • Koyaanisqatsi (1983/86 minutes)
  • Night of the Living Dead (1968/96 minutes) 50th anniversary presentation of the newly-restored version of the film projected from a 4k DCP. Introduction by Professors Peter Goldstein and Will Dickey of the Juniata College English Department.
